Hi, I'm Michael

My journey as an educator began in southern California over 20 years ago. I was a substitute teacher and taught elementary, middle school, and high school. Now, I teach ESL to adults in New York city.

I also have a background in Theatre with an MFA in Drama and am a member of both actor unions, SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity. I have worked in films, TV, commercials, voiceovers, and the stage.

My interest in teaching ESL to actors, I suppose, is a way for me to "pay it forward" as they say. I have learned a lot in my training as an actor and have been lucky enough to have made my dream into a reality, and I could not have done it without the wonderful teachers and mentors who continue to help me work on the craft of acting. Show business is challenging enough as it is, and the language barrier makes it that much more difficult. My goal is to help performers who need more practice in English as they pursue their dream and continue to hone their craft.
